Must See!

So what is this “Must See” thing huh?? Well something that I was honored to be a part of in 2012. Not only because of my part in it, but also the amazing work that we were able to see done for this unique event. So what am I talking about??

Well, I was one vendor in a group of some pretty amazing people that participated in The NotWedding for its debut event in Orlando. The NotWedding is a bridal show unlike any other.

A little history behind The NotWedding:

In a land far, far away from ballrooms, pews, and aisles, budding photographer Callie Murray began to get her feet wet in the world of weddings.

It just so happened that Callie had a few brilliant and talented friends who were embarking on new wedding industry ventures of their own. Seeing as their target clients were the same (blushing brides to be), Callie asked herself, “What better way to help brides discover amazing wedding opportunities and showcase my friends’ talents than to throw the ultimate wedding?!”

The goal became creating an event that brides and singles alike would walk away from thinking, “That was the best wedding ever! I want mine to be like that one! I have to have _____ be a part of my wedding!”

In 2008, that first NotWedding confirmed her idea and she thought to herself, “Why stop now?” After all, vendors said that the networking and exposure they gained helped them to launch their brands, build significant relationships within the wedding network, and set them up to be on the forefront of this competitive industry; and the response from the guests, well the proof’s in the pudding, or whatever the bride decides to serve for dessert!” – From The NotWedding Website

As a bride-to-be you are invited to be a guest to a wedding where you can watch the vendors work. Then, at the end of the night, you are given the chance to walk through the Tunnel of Love to see all the vendors who helped the “wedding” come together and talk to them about having them at your own wedding.

I had an amazing time meeting other wedding professionals, brides, and making some new friends at The NotWedding and I am so excited to share the NotWedding Film with you! Here is a look into The NotWedding Experience as done by Imprint Cinema! (I loved them, so I hope to work with them again very soon!!) It also gives you a unique peek at what I can do at a wedding! 🙂

So what did I do or provide? I was the DJ for the event. At 1:16 in the video, you can see my DJ set-up… but watch close because it probably isn’t what you are expecting. 😉 During the ceremony, Sean (the officiant) used my microphone. And of course, I was DJing the entire time and had a blast when everyone started dancing. You can see me in the background working at about the 3:26 mark. And our table, which my partner Kim was working, is shown at 3:41 and 3:47.
